Decker Talk Theme
Fixed-media Electronics
This piece is in a rather different vein from most of my other works. An old roommate, Mike Decker, called me up one day and asked me to write a theme for a radio talk show, called Decker Talk, put on by his family's business, Decker Retirement Planning. He had a melody in mind that he wanted to use for it, but didn't have the expertise to really flesh it out, so he hired me to finish it for him. There wasn't time or resources to hire live musicians, so I mixed and produced it using sampled sounds and virtual instruments.
As they were recording the show, they found the theme I originally wrote was a bit too long, so it had to be trimmed down for the final cut, but I've posted the original full version here.
Aired sessions of the show can be viewed here.
