Courante

Cello

Written as colloborative project with the BYU-Idaho Composition Studio in Spring 2014. The project was modeled after J.S. Bach's famous cello suites. Each student in the studio was assigned a dance from the suite and wrote a piece after the style of that dance. While writing the pieces, each student collaborated with cellist Robyn Brown, who performed the work in its entirety at the end of the semester. This piece, the "Courante," was my contribution to the project.
