Tuba Quartet

Located at the heart of Manila, Divisoria is one of the largest marketplaces in the Philippines. The streets are constantly packed with eager customers looking for a good deal and vendors selling "everything under the sun," including clothing, fabrics, textiles, toys, trinkets, electronics, purses, bags, and anything else you could imagine. Tourists and shoppers can find great merchandise here at bargain prices if they know where to look. As you might expect, though, one has to be very careful, as it's very easy to get lost among the bustling crowds, where pickpockets, thieves, and con artists lie in wait to relieve unsuspecting shoppers of their money. "Divisoria" was written in 2016 for the Brigham Young University Tuba Quartet, to be premiered March 15, 2016, in the Madsen Recital Hall in Provo, Utah.
